I had a great long weekend. I took Friday off and my boyfriend and I made a small little vacation of it. We took a small trip to visit a whole bunch of my boyfriend's friends, who are slowly becoming my good friends as well. There were several that we only get to see once or twice a year.
Here are some of the highlights:
Our friends just bought a new house earlier this year and they had some really beautiful irises in bloom. I was a little jealous. The previous owners of my house had one little patch but it didn't bloom last year and didn't bloom this year either. I just planted some last week so we'll see what happens.
We played hours and hours of this game called Ladder Ball. I had never heard of it before but it was really fun. Highly recommended if you're throwing an outdoor party.
We made an "adult watermelon" which was filled with rum and left to sit overnight. Delicious.
