While on my mini-vacation this past weekend, a friend asked if I wanted to join her and a few others at a spa for a little pampering and TLC this coming Saturday. On impulse I said yes, not entirely sure if I wanted to go. I am a little nervous. And also have a hard time justifying that much money just to be pampered, which is obviously not a necessity.
Here is what I have to look forward to come Saturday:
- swedish massage
- mini manicure
- mini pedicure
Two of my sisters have been telling me for a long time that I should get a manicure and a pedicure. I figure every woman should have all the above experiences at least once in her life. It's almost summertime so that's obviously a great time to make your feet look nice in your flip flops and cute sandals. I have been extremely tense and stressed at work lately so this would also be the perfect time to try a massage. It just sort of feel into my lap and I didn't want to let the opportunity go to waste.
Are these three things every woman should experience at least once? Is it worth the money or is it a waste? Am I the only woman that has made it to thirty without once experincing a mani/pedi or a massage?
You were right to not let the opportunity go to waste. Trust me. It'll be the best day you've had in a long while and you'll feel so good that you'll see it's something that's not just a luxury. Your body will love and appreciate the massage. I sometimes feel I should have someone drive me home after I get one because I'm in la-la land when I walk out of the spa!

Are these things every woman should experience at least once? Waaaay MORE than once, I think! Unless you have issues with strangers touching you (I know some people do), you should find this experience to be totally heavenly. The hand massage during a manicure practically makes me drool. And while the stress of life often negates the massage by the end of the next day, for the time that the blissed-out sensation lasts, it's amazing.

I've had a manicure, but never a pedicure or a massage (and I'm well past 30). Part of it is that I'm cheap, but part of it is that I just don't know if I could be still for that long. I have enough trouble staying put when I get my hair done. Actually, I guess not being able to stay still shows that I am stressed so maybe I should go get a massage.

I do have to admit that part of the reason I haven't done these things before is because I am cheap. I am pretty frugal and try not to spend money on things I can do without. Now it's time to splurge!
I am definitely even more excited now for Saturday's outing. I will have pretty fingers and toes! I'll feel all relaxed! I don't foresee having any issues with sitting still or having a stranger touch me.
