Healthy and delicious snack
Tonight after work I ran to the pharmacy to pick up a couple of prescriptions. I had to wait until 6:30 to pick them up, and then had to wait an additional 10 minutes because they weren't ready yet. Then I ate two tiny left-over pieces of pizza for dinner. And then I mowed the lawn. I had planned to eat a salad after I finished the lawn, but I sort of... forgot. So then 9:30 rolls around and I was hungry again. I no longer really felt like having a salad but didn't know what I wanted. I remembered I had bought apples the day before when I first tried to pick up my prescriptions (long story) but wasn't too excited about having one. Then I remembered what my mom used to give me as an after school snack sometimes -- an apple cut into eight pieces with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Suddenly the apple sounded much more appealing. I think I was a bit heavy-handed when it came to adding the cinnamon, but it was still pretty tasty.

I never thought about putting cinnamon on them. Nice idea especially when they start to brown a bit if they aren't eaten right away. Will use that next time I'm babysitting.
I bet the kids you babysit for will love it. I know I did, and still do! It's a great way to get them to eat some fruit if you are dealing with picky eaters, too.
lol yes, there seems to be a tad too much cinnamon for my liking but it sure sounds deelish!
I also discovered a really quick and easy fruit salad recently that you might like:
A few slices of green apple; a few slices of kiwi; a few slices of green pear; all diced into bite sized cubes - sprinkle some almond slices and a drizzle of honey and toss. So yum.
ha. the cinnamon would not come out so i tapped a little harder and then it just dumped out!
hmm... i'm not sure about the almonds but the rest sounds delicious!
