Tomatoes & Cucumbers

I just wanted to provide an update that yes, I actually am getting edible goods from my garden.  Pretty tasty goods, too  :)  Tomatoes and cucumbers are doing well.  Yellow squash and zucchini, not so much.  At least not yet.

The tomatoes look great - as do the cucumbers.
I have this notion in my head that cucumbers are difficult to grow - but I bet they taste amazing when so fresh from the garden.

That is a fine-looking tomato you got there!

I have to confess: I kind of lost interest in my two tomato plants. I was to lazy to water, and we have had very little rain. I've finally got some ripe ones, but I'm suspicious because they sat on the vine for so long before ripening.

Eh, maybe next year.

Sally, cucumbers are actually terrifically easy to grow! They don't really need fertilizer and naturally just grow like crazy on their own with a little water. My two tiny little plants are now taking up half the garden.

JD, give them a taste, you never know! And yes, there's always next year. :)

Oh, they look scrumptious! Well done Erin.
(Our tomatoes are still pretty green...but we are waiting.)

I am pretty sure there is nothing on earth so tasty as a tomato straight from the garden, still warm from the sunshine.

NatureCat -- I have two plants that just now have their first two ripe tomatoes, so I still have a lot that are green too.

Dawn -- Yeah, I agree! Do you grow them down in FL?
