Happy Mother's Day

I think when you are younger you don't really appreciate your mother.  You don't realize how difficult a job it is and all the sacrifices that are made.  Now that I'm older, and a lot of my friends are mothers, I have have a much better appreciation and understanding.

I took some pictures of the flowers in my yard this past Monday and chose my favorite and turned it into a little e-card for my grandmother.  I sent her a card in the snail mail as well, but she loves this kind of stuff so I decided to do both.

Mothers Day 2010.JPG Happy Mother's Day, moms.  Maybe I will join your ranks one day.  Maybe.

Special shout-out to Candice who is expecting her first little one on Monday!

Awwww, thanks. :)

And I'm with you - it wasn't until I started seeing my sister be a mother that I realized just how exhausting and difficult and self-sacrificing it has to be (although I also finally began to grasp the inherent rewards - I wasn't always convinced it was worth it, lol).

About This Blog

Stories, advice, and random thoughts from a thirty-something female.

Many people in their thirties are dealing with common issues and concerns. Some of these include buying a home, establishing a career, starting a family, and dealing with aging parents. I will blog about all these things as well as other every day stuff as I make my way through this third decade of life.
