Herb Garden

I started an herb garden a couple of weeks ago.  This is my very first attempt at such an adventure.  Unfortunately I don't really know what I'm doing and am afraid I may be failing.  The cilantro and basil aren't looking so hot.  I keep saying we need to find some recipes for the herbs (before I kill them all) and use them in some new dishes.  I've done some really quick searching but so far haven't really come up with anything.  We made taco burgers the other night (my boyfriend makes awesome taco burgers) and we were going to use the cilantro, but of course we forgot.

So, anyone have any great recipes that use cilantro, basil, or oregano?  Anyone have any tips for me on how to keep these suckers alive?

I, too, am growing basil and cilantro. Those are really the only two herbs I bother growing anymore, because the others just went to seed. Cilantro is always good in ANY kind of salad. Doesn't have to be a taco-type salad. Just chop some up in any green salad. The basil I don't use as frequently. I like it either with just tomatoes and balsamic vinager or in a salad with tomatoes, torn-up crusty bread, mozzarella, and balsamic. Mmmm. I may have to go buy some tomatoes. Mine are not nearly ready.

Have fun with your herbs!

Your pics look great! You've obviously done a great job with them, I don't know what you're worried about!
I agree with JD about cilantro in salads, and as well I have a great chicken recipe that calls for a big bunch of cilantro that I'll get to you right away. I might actually make it this weekend so I'll have pics. :)
And the basil, tomoto, and balsamic is a great idea too... you can but big balls (haha) of mozzarella and slice them up... lay a slice of cheese over a slice of tomato, top with a big basil leaf and drizzle with balsamic. Lovely little appy. :)

Thank you, ladies! I love your ideas. I love tomatoes (can't wait til mine are ripe!), mozzarella, and balsamic (vinaigrette). I'll add a bit of basil on top and have a complete package! Great idea. I am also really looking forward to that cilantro chicken recipe! I eat salads fairly frequently and I think I'll try throwing some cilantro in that as well. I knew I could count on you guys for some great ideas. :)

I need to find a good provider of herbal remedies does anyone know of a good place to find quality supplies?

I don't unremarkably comment but I gotta tell thankyou for the post on this amazing one : D.
